EVANS STORY

20161213_111228To our friends + family,

As some of you know, Evan has been in flight school, and was recently experiencing back pain flying in the cockpit. He attributed this to his many successful years of playing soccer and football at Glacier Peak and more recently at PLU—GO LUTES!!  The pain was becoming excruciating and he returned to his previous back physician in Kirkland that he went to when he had back fractures in high school. They scheduled him for an MRI and he began physical therapy.

In the mean time, Marissa had scheduled  an appointment for Evan with a general provider locally to “get established” for routine care. He went to the general provider and explained his back discomfort and condition to the provider, letting him know he hasn’t felt well in general, has had a loss of appetite and coughing up blood the past few days…the Dr. immediately ordered a chest x-ray and blood work.

On Thursday, December 8, 2016 Evan received a call from his doctor telling him his chestimg_2521 x-ray showed multiple nodules/masses and early lab work was indicating cancer.. the Dr. suspected testicular cancer and needed him back for a CT scan and more tests.

The results have come back positive and Evan has now begun treatment. With the support of his friends and family, we know he can beat this!
